Account Coordinator

We are actively seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Account Coordinator to become the organizational heartbeat and client liaison for one of our Account Teams.  While the Account Coordinator is responsible for providing the Team’s administrative support, they will also actively pitch the media on behalf of a roster of clients.  One (1) year of agency experience is preferred.


  • Assist in development, planning and implementation of PR campaigns
  • Contribute to/initiate ideas for stories, programs and special events
  • Write and/or edit press materials and social media posts
  • Handle media list creation and distribution of press releases
  • Monitor/coordinate editorial calendar listings and lead generation services and pitch stories to appropriate media
  • Track media coverage and monitor results
  • Respond to media inquiries and fulfill travel requests
  • Coordinate aspects of press trips, such as list development and invites
  • Maintain current supply of client material (press kits, brochures, photo library, letterhead, etc.)
  • Compile, write, edit and distribute client status, media and activity reports
  • Assist with day-to-day client communication
  • Participate in client conference calls
  • Begin building media relationships
  • Maintain media database of consumer and trade press
  • Develop understanding of client business: competition, industry news, etc.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of all client, vendor and company information
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

  • Educational Requirements: Minimum of an undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts) in communications, journalism or related field
